Save Mart is sponsoring a contest to promote the Save Mart 350. The prizes are unbelievable! First there is an instant win game with tons of prizes including $350,000 in cash!!! After the instant win game there is a photo contest. You upload a photo that "Shows your NASCAR pride". The winner of the contests gets an all expense paid trip to... [MORE]

I went to the Daytona race and the Robby Gordon penalty is crap. They wouldn't do that to Jeff Gordon. Anyway, I'm a JR fan. Did anyone see the Teresa Who? shirts and hat? They were all over the stands at Daytona, I'm looking for them now.

I'm new here and hope I've come to the right place for the answers to my questions. I know this is a different kind of thread from most I see posted here. Anyway, I'm thinking about possibly getting a scanner as a Christmas gift for someone, but I don't know how legal or practical they are. If you take your own scanner to a NASCAR race, are... [MORE]

I am conducting market research to find out how many small to midsize companies, other than the major team sponsors, sponsor a NASCAR team (Truck, Busch, or Cup). Up until now I can only get specific "minor" sponsor information if I go to the team and/or driver page, and that's only if they post it. Very time consuming and frustrating. ... [MORE]

When it came down to getting fresh tires or maintaining track position, crew chief Robbie Reiser's decision was an easy one. That's because it had worked for other teams all day.

With 40 laps remaining in Sunday's USG Sheetrock 400 at Chicagoland Speedway, Matt Kenseth's best chance at victory was predicated on not losing ground in the pits. ... [MORE]

Are the days of Hendrick Motorsports dominance over?

It sure seemed that way in the aftermath of Sunday's Nextel Cup event at Chicagoland Speedway, where Tony Stewart snapped a 20-race winless streak to give Joe Gibbs Racing its second victory of the year (watch video). The class of NASCAR for much of this season, Hendrick has watched as riva... [MORE]

Perhaps no one knows or understands the enigma that is Tony Stewart more than Greg Zipadelli, the crew chief on his No. 20 Chevrolet for Joe Gibbs Racing.

"His greatest asset is his biggest liability, and that's his emotions and his passion. But that's what makes him a fierce competitor and a guy who is going to give everything he has inside ... [MORE]

NASCAR has issued penalties and fines to the No. 7 team that competes in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, as a result of rule infractions found last week at Daytona International Speedway.

The No. 7 Ford, driven by Robby Gordon, was found to be in violation of Sections 12-4-A (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4-Q (car, car parts, com... [MORE]

Tony Stewart kills me, he runs over Denny hamlin and blames him, just like he does everyone else, but, he says, there are no problems between them because he patted him on the back once before.

"Oh, yeah. And the thing that people didn't understand about the deal the other day is I remember when we were in Sonoma [last month] and he had just ... [MORE]

Saturday night's Pepsi 400 should have been an eye-opener to anyone who still adheres to the myth that, at least on the track, NASCAR is a team sport. This isn't the Tour de France, where a cadre of riders is hired to run interference for one team leader who's set up to win. This isn't Formula One, where some organizations have a pecking order... Kyle Busch picked up his first NASCAR victory at Daytona International Speedway, winning the rain-delayed Busch Series race Saturday morning (watch video).

Buschled the majority of the Winn-Dixie 250, earned his first win in the series this season and ended a string of bad luck at the sport's most famous track.

Busch celebrated the win an... [MORE]

How long are we, the paying public, going to allow NASCAR to pervert what was once a serious form of competition. NEXTEL CUP is a joke nowadays, with timed "yellow flag" instances to facilitate driver favoritism and technical specifications with gaping holes in them.

True hot rodders will always try to find a mechanism to bend the rules, so c... [MORE]

1. We had some stunning finishes at Lowe's last weekend. Were they season-savers or a nice job of mixing it up?

David Caraviello: Were they season-savers or a fluke, may be more the question. Had the final pit stops cycled a little different and fuel held out for the top contenders, we may be talking about a completely different top five.
